2016

so with today being 31st December I thought I should write one finally blog post for 2016 with 2016 being a rather bad me for me personally which I'll talk about in more detail in this post.

2016 started off badly for me with the BBC confirming that Doctor Who would not be broadcasted as a series in 2016 only one Christmas also my  I started a new job in a call centre which I was forced to do otherwise I would have lost my JSA, I hated every moment of it I use to have travel to Chelmsford twice a week earning minimum wage, I use to do outbound calls to a client list asking them questions but most of the time I faced angry clients who were unhappy with the company I hated every moment of it, On my final day before I quit the job one client threatened  to take me personally to court for doing the job I hated I just got my stuff got up said I quit to my boss and left knowing I wouldn't be able to claim JSA for 6 months I got on the train back to Clacton feeling worthless and hating everything and the world it was the first time in 2016 I thought about taking my own life after quitting my job I questioned my worthfulness and the point of me living. The next few months were a struggle worrying about money and struggling to find work.

During the struggle months as I like to call them I went to Cardiff in Wales were they film Doctor Who to tour the Tardis set which as a massive Doctor who fan I loved every moment of touring the set, A week later I got to go watch one of my favourite shows The last leg be recorded live in London which I loved my face even featured for a secound on the show. April was the first time I tried and failed in committing suicide which I won't go into much detail since I did this in my first blog and moving down to London and my other attempts of suicide I've already covered in my first blog so I won't go over it again. After that I spent time on a mental health ward which I felt was good for me I meet some nice people and the staff were lovely and caring, During this time we had the EU referendum which Britain voted the EU and David Cameron resigned as Prime minister of the united kingdom I left the mental health ward a few days before my 21st birthday on my 21st birthday I went on a tour of the emirates stadium, during this time I while I was in hospital I missed the deadline to renew my membership to arsenal so Arsenal was nice enough to allow me to renew my membership late.

July I went to the British Grand Prix where I got to meet my friends who I use to race online with I like to go the British grand Prix every year as a massive f1 I love it. I also attended London anniversary games athletics were I got to see Usain Bolt run the 200m sadly I won't be able to go next year due to date being the same day as the British grand Prix, during the summer I mainly watched to Olympics and Paralympics and I loved every moment of it's my main sports of love are athletics and both forms of cycling,In September I went to a charity Arsenal legends match against AC Millan which Arsenal won 4-2 later in the month I went to Arsenal vs Chelsea before the Match I was lucky enough to meet Ian Wright and at Half time I meet the co-host of the last leg Alex Brooker Arsenal went on to win the match 3-0. In October I went to see one of my favourite comedians and host of the last leg Adam Hills stand up gig and was lucky enough to meet him after his show. also In October I went to see Team GB victory display in London when I got home I had a letter in the post from Arsene Wenger manager of Arsenal Football Club which was so positive I've framed it in my bedroom I was also invited to watch the Teams come in for Arsenal vs Reading in the League Cup this is where I meet Freddie Ljungberg an Arsenal legend, I've been to a few arsenal game in this early part of the season.  I also attended the last leg tv recording again and was seen on TV at the end of the episode .the end part of my year has been quiet I've been thinking about what I want to do in the future.

2016 has been a rather bad year for me with some good moment but worldwide we have had the deaths of a lot of famous people the rise of Donald trump, Leicester city winning the premier league and Brexit which we won't know more about until we leave the EU it could be a positive thing for the UK we just don't know yet.

Thank you for reading my blog over the course of this year and all the nice comments and private messages I've received I have been so grateful for these messages of support I hope 2017 will be a great year for me personally I am going to an Arsenal game on new years day and hope to attend a few more Arsenal games, I will be attending Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko fight at Wembley stadium, I hope to attend the 2017 Britsih Grand Prix and I also have a ticket to the 200m finals of the  world athletics championships in London one of Usain Bolts Last Races I am a huge fan of Bolt. And I hope finally to find a job and earn my own way in the world.

Bullying

This is a blog I've wanted to write for a bit now in this blog post I'll talk about my experiences of bullying before I start I won't name names because I've been told by someone who's opinions I regard highly that people can change and bullies can turn out to be nice people so maybe that might be true.

I never experienced bullying really in primary school and at my first secondary school because I knew people but when I moved to Clacton County High school is when I started to experience bullying on my first day with comments about my ears and my teeth and my weight which made me want to cry and I wanted to go back to my old school on my first week with all the horrible  name calling and I was tripped up and laughed at all the time I just use to seat at the back of the class and didn't speak to anyone and I had no friends. Year 7 was hard I only had a few friends and was still subject to name calling towards the end of the year was one of the worst things that will happen to me I just got changed for PE I was waiting outside to go into the gym when I was talking to my friends about a football match that had taken place the night before when a group of students decided to pull my PE shorts and my underwear and my private parts was exposed to my whole PE class and a group of girls who were walking past to their PE class I was horrified and never wanted to go back to school again the punishment the students was light and the students go off lightly and the effects lasted a long time, comments about my penis with my whole year group making comments the rest of year 7 was just awful name calling and now comments about my weight and now my private parts.

Year 8 was no better it turned out people don't grow up over the summer things become more physically getting punched well walking in the corridors twice in year 8 I was beaten up for trying to stand up for myself, year 9 was sort of the same the bullying did get lighter nothing serious happened. Year 10 was when it got worse the bullying was none stop it got to a point where I use to bunk school and classes fake being sick to avoid going to school I had blue tic put in my hair kicked and punched none stop, name calling like retard and Spastic relating to me have Aspergers and not acting like everyone else and for the 2nd time I had my pants pulled down but this time in a classroom, one dream of mine was to become a football referee but when people found out i got on course 3 people started to take the piss and made none stop comments, After this I first thought about taking my own life after this I asked the school to go on an education programme where I only go to school one day a week and a college one day and the rest of the time on work experience after going on the bullying moved to facebook and Xbox live.

After leaving school the bullying really stopped I wonder sometimes if the people who use to bully me every think of their actions and if they have guts to say sorry for making my life hell. Most of my time I use to dream that The Doctor a TV character from Doctor Who and the Tardis was real and I could follow the doctor in running away as you can tell I'm a huge Doctor who fan.

Sorry these blog posts are becoming once a month I'm struggling to find things to write about I hope to write when I find a subject.

Job interviews and struggling to find a job

I have been thinking what to write for a BlogPost for a while so I'll thought to myself  I would write a blog about my struggles to find secure a job the idea came to me while I was at the cinema watching a street cat named bob which was a lovely film I really enjoyed it.

So I'm 21 and never had a full-time job my first job application was in late 2013 for a train company called Greater Anglia that runs the railway franchise for East Anglia the role I applied was a train conductor it was a dream of mine since I was a little kid to work on the railways, I got to the assessment round I was a bag of nerves the I got past the first round of tests and got passed the 2nd round and was told I would hear back about an interview but I didn't hear back for over a year it was only until I emailed them asking for information that I got offered an interview I was confident going into this interview that I would get the job I felt a bit nervous going into this interview I thought I performed well in the interviews but clearly I didn't since I didn't get the job.

I've probably applied for nearly 100 and only had a few interviews but I struggle when it comes to interviewing stage I don't know why but I become a bag of nerves I always try to do a good work of preparation I research the role I'm applying and what the company does and what does.

I applied for a job on London Underground for a customer service assistant for the night tube I did so much research I memorised the Tube map off by heart I got people to ask me how to get certain London Underground stations I looked at London underground rules I memorised them off by heart,  first you had to do a telephone interview which I thought I wouldn't pass but to my shock I passed and the next round was an interview and a test based rounds  and I was so nervous I remember shaking while drinking a drink from costa coffee, when I arrived and spoke to the people who ill be taking the tests against they seemed really nice I tried to keep myself to myself and keep my focus, The first part of interview stage was tests to test your maths, tube knowledge and grammar and to my shock I passed even though my grammar is bad, I got thought to the role play round where you're given a situation where you're dealing with a customer this where I failed to get through to the next round I was upset but I had a thought in my head that I wouldn't get this job. A few months later I got an email from London Unground asking would I like would I like to come back for a second chance I said I wasn't that nervous to be honest with you this time round the only problem was I was staying with my uncle since it was less travel on the interview but I forget to pack my suit trousers and had to rush to asdas and buy new trousers and only brought the wrong size and had to go back buy the right size and having to get changed on a train toilet. I got to the London Underground offices confident it was different role playing situation and once again I failed at this stage when I walked out of the office I felt fine but I went to a costa coffee near the tube station and I ordered a drink I took my tie off and just sit there and started to cry I felt empty and a failure I thought I had a good chance but I had blown it some lovely man came over and we had a chat it turned out he was Chelsea fan and we had a good chat I spent about 30 mins talking to this person and I felt better afterwards, To be honest after watching a TV show I was glad I didn't get the job bit of shame since the pay and the benefits are great.

I've had a group interview at madame thousand London which didn't go well my train to London was delayed and my phone battery was playing and to make matters worse one of my friends rang me when I was in the interview and the good sides of the interview I got to go into madame thousands for free a tourist attraction that I always wanted to visit I got an email a few days later saying I didn't get the job I was a bit disappointed but I was expecting that email saying I didn't get the thought to the next round.

sometimes I worry I won't find a job I've had an awful job walking in a call centre I hated it I only lasted three weeks I've done many volunteering jobs that have lasted a while like working for my student union as it's vice president and working on political campaigns my first paid job was in the summer of 2014 working for Douglas Carswell, I would love to find a full-time job but fell my Asperger's holds me back sometimes I fell I only get the interviews because of my disability to meet a disability statistic maybe one day I'll find a perfect job that will support my disability.

I plan to try and write a blog post once a month but it's becoming harder to write blog posts since I'm running out of ideas, I don't want to write about anything the things I write about on here are things I fell passionate about.

comedians and The Last Leg

As I've said in a previous blog post I am a big fan of comIedy and stand-up comedy and in this blog post, I'll talk about my favourite stand up comedians and my favourite comedy TV show.

I have three favourite comedians Adam Hills, Jack Whitehall and John Bishop I'll talk about why I like all of them so I'll start with Adam Hills. Adam is host of one of my favourite TV shows The Last Leg which I'll talk about later in this post,Adam Hills is a one legged comedian from Australia who wears a  prosthetic leg who has a heart of gold and raises so much money for charity, I first heard of Adam Hills during while watching the last leg during channel 4 coverage of the London 2012 paralympic games and I loved every minute of it,I have been to see Adam once at the hammersmith apollo it was the first stand-up comedy gig I went to since leaving hospital and I thought I wouldn't enjoy it since I wasn't enjoying much since leaving Hosptial but I was glad that I was proven wrong, I was so lucky enough to meet him after the show when he was raising money for great Ormond street hospital and he was so nice and friendly. And I love his rants so much they are so honest and passionate when he rants about a subject he's passionate about. NextI'll talk about Jack Whitehall I haven't seen Jack Whitehall live but I will in January in Ipswich I loved bad education the show written and created by himself which I found so funny and the show he is part of a league of their own a show which is so funny but I'll talk about that later. what I love about Whitehall his brutal jokes against people mainly ex - Arsenal players which as an Arsenal fan I love so much, I have meet jack once at an Arsenal game and he was so nice and friendly i.Finally, on comedians I am at John Bishop I have met twice and both times he was so friendly , kind and so nice to me he even tweeted me to say nice to meet you on the train afterwards when I meet him on a train after a gig in Ipswich, what I like about John is that he talks about his life and makes it funny how he tells it and his appearances on tv shows are so funny I always watch a show if John Bishop is on it. Other stand-up comedians I think are funny are Katherine Ryan, josh Widdicombe and Aisling Bea.

I said I love the Last leg I found the show so funny because it's so light-hearted and I've probably watched all their youtube clips they post online and I've been lucky enough to watch the show be recorded live the show is hosted by Adam Hills and his co-hosts Alex Brooker who I've met at an Arsenal game and Josh Widdicombe, When I was in Hosptial with my depression and the last leg was on it use to cheer me up when I was feeling down and lonely,The  show is one of my favourite Tv shows  I never miss an episode and I was watch clips of them on youtube when I'm feeling down. they always have great guests on the show and are not scared to talk about the big issues of the week This why I love the Last Leg so much and would recommend anyone who wants a good laugh on a Friday night to watch it.

My love for Doctor Who

As I've said in a previous blog post I am a huge Doctor Who fan so in this post I thought I'll talk more about my love for the show, So my love for the show begin when the show was reborn in 2005 under Russell T Davies with Christopher Eccleston as the 9th Doctor and Billie piper as the companion I didn't get into the show straight away I got more into the series towards the end of series one and didn't understand  regeneration when Eccleston left the show and David Tennant become the 10th Doctor.

My love for Doctor Who really started in series two with David Tennant as the Doctor my favourite episode in that series was Doomsday when the Daleks vs The cybermen and when Billie Piper left the show as Rose, Series 3 was good series with the Master returning my Favourite series of the Tennant era with the Sontarans and Davros returning to the show  my favourite episode of that series was journeys end with the Doctor facing Davros and the Daleks, I enjoyed David Tennant last 5 episodes that were specials. I have to admit I was very sad during David Tennant last episode The end of time part 2 I cried during the Last scenes before he regenerated because he was my Favourite Doctor I felt David Tennant  was born to play the role of the Doctor, His eyes made you believe his emotions in the scenes and were gutted when David announced he was leaving the show.

I struggled to come to terms to Matt Smith as the Doctor as I was missing David Tennant as the Doctor I enjoyed his first series as the Doctor and the sub-plot of silence will fall and the cracks in space and time, I grew to like Matt Smith as the Doctor and enjoyed his performances  as The Doctor and was delighted when it was announced   that David Tennant will be returning to the show for a muti-Doctor episode for the 50th anniversary with John Hurt appearing as the War Doctor which is my Favorite just because it was a muti-doctor episode and finally showing the time war. Matt Smith last episode was a great episode with the cracks and silence will fall questions finally answered and the regeneration into Peter Capaldi.

When Peter Capaldi was announced was subject to criticism saying he was too old for the role I believed he acting should do the talking and I believe he is an amazing doctor he plays the role so well he has proven his critics wrong , his first two series have been brilliant.

I have travelled to Cardiff twice to do the set tour of the Tardis and been to the Doctor who experience and have loved every minute of it seeing the Tardis sorts of ruins my childhood dream of running  away in a magical blue box and seeing all of time and space.

famous faces

So I've been struggling to write a new blog post so I've decided to take the advice of a friend and my cousin about famous faces I've meet over the years. So over the years I've been lucky enough to meet over the past few years.

my first time meeting the Arsenal team in 2005/06 season when I was a member of arsenal junior gunners that season the team had players like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Sol Campbell and Jens Lehmann I felt so lucky and as a little kid it was all my dreams come true, The second time I meet the Arsenal team was 2010/11 season this time it was thought an Arsenal magazine competition this team had players like Theo Walcott, Robin Van Persie and Cesc Fabregas this team I was sit in the Arsenal dug-out on the side of the pitch at the emirates and the players came out I meet them and I had my picture with the players.I've been lucky enough to meet some big names in world football when I've attended matches at the Emirates Stadium cheering on Arsenal I meet Michael Owen at the Emirates cup in 2013 when he was working for BT Sports, I,ve been lucky enough to meet two Arsenal legends Bob Wilson in 2010 when I meet him when during the Arsenal photoshoot day/Members day I've also been lucky enough to meet Ian wright who scored 128 goals for Arsenal when he was working for BT sport at Arsenal 3-0 over Chelsea this season.

I am a big fan of stand-up comedy and I've been lucky  enough to meet all three of my favourite stand up comedians one was Jack Whitehall who was doing media work at the emirates in 2012 I think Arsenal lost that day, I was lucky enough to meet John Bishop on a train home from his show in Ipswich I meet him just before I got off the train he was so nice and he tweeted me afterwards which was so nice of him and finally I got to meet Adam Hills host of one of my favorite TV shows the last leg at his gig at the Hammersmith apollo when he was raising money in the lobby of the apollo. Talking about the last leg I've also meet another of the hosts of the show Alex Brooker at Arsenal 3-0 victory over Chelsea this season at halftime in the concourse he was so nice to talk to. With my love of politics, I was lucky enough to meet Boris Johnson.

I previously write about my love for Formula One and I was lucky to meet Jenson Button one times formula one world champion, Mika Hakkinen two times Formula one world champion and driver for Mclaren next season Stoffel vandoorne thanks to my friend Josh who entered me into the competition to meet Mclaren drivers and I will always be grateful to him

I've been lucky enough to meet some of my favourite celebrities during my short life which is a big honour of mine and hope to meet more during the rest of my life.sorry for the delay in this blog I've been struggling to find stuff to write about I hope to write more soon maybe about the things I love or maybe the stuff I do during my life.

My love for Formula One

I've decided to follow up my Love for Arsenal blog post a few weeks ago by doing a  My Love for formula one, So my love for Formula one started in 2007 when I watched my first race the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix when Lewis Hamilton won his first race in Formula One with Mclaren.

I have been to four British Grand Prix's sitting at farm curve, copse and twice at luffield I have enjoyed each time the only problem for me is that I don't drive meaning I have to get a coach leaving at five in the morning but I love going to such a historic circuit twice I have met up with Friends which is nice to meet other formula one fans my dream is to stay for the whole weekend of the grand Prix but not being able to drive means it's hard to get to Silverstone without public transport, Another one of my dreams is to go to a Grand Prix aboard somewhere like Monza,Spa or Budapest once I get a job I will do that one day.

My favourite driver is Sebastian Vettel his sense of humour and his talent of driving a car is amazing and his technical feedback is good,  and so his drivers when he has had to fight his way from the back of the grid like Abu Dhabi 2012 he started in the pitlane and finished on the podium in 3rd and this year in Singapore where he started last and finished last and finished 5th.Another driver I rate highly is Max Verstappen some of the overtaking moves he has done are breathtaking and he has some amazing things in Formula One at such a young age at 19 when he was first announced I was not convinced I believed Max was too young for Formula One but he has proven me and many people wrong.

I was lucky enough to meet one times formula one World champion Jenson Button, Stoffel Vandoorne GP2 champion and Mclaren driver for 2017 and two times Formula One world champion Mika Hakkinen I was lucky enough for this moment thanks to my friend Josh Saban who entered me into a competition that McLaren was running I had such a great day and I'm still so grateful to josh.

My favourite grand Prix is the 2012 Brazilian grand he had so many stories going into the race Sebastian Vettel vs Fernando Alonso fighting for the championship, Lewis Hamilton last race for Mclaren and Micheal Schumacher last race in Formula One, The race had so much Drama Sebastian Vettel spinning on the first lap and suffering damage to the rear of the car, Lewis Hamilton and Button fighting for the lead of the race and force India and Nico Hulkenberg battling the Mclaren's for his and the teams first win.

Thank you again for reading my blog and I'll probably write a blog about Doctor Who next or something else if it pops into my head you can follow me on social media at:

my views on Wenger's 20th anniversary at Arsenal

I thought since Arsene Wenger has been Arsenal manager for 20 years I would write a little blog post about my views on Wenger being manager for 20 years sadly for me I'm only 21 meaning I was too young to remember or understand some of Wenger glory years like the double winning side of  1997-98 and the first few years of Wenger reign.

Arsene Wenger officially took over at Arsenal on 1st October 1996 what I've been told when Wenger took over the papers ran headlines like Arsene Who he entered Arsenal as a little unknown manager who had Managed in France and Japan but was unknown in England when Wenger took over he had players in his side like Seaman,Adams,Dixon, Veria and Ian Wright in Wenger first season Arsenal finished 3rd in the premier league and in Wenger first full season Arsenal won the double winning the Premier League and the FA cup becoming the first foreign manager to win the Premier League.

My first memories of Arsene success was in 2003/04 when Arsenal denied belief and went a whole season undefeated Arsenal, Arsenal undefeated run started in the last two games from 2002/03 and went thought the whole 2003/04 season and it ended after 9 games in 2004/05 season a thing which I personally believe will never be matched in my lifetime, That for me would be my greatest memory of Wenger time at Arsenal

In recent years Wenger has suffered abuse from his own fans and in my opinion is unfair Wenger has done so much for Arsenal and should be given the respect he deserves I remember going to Arsenal vs Norwich last season I remember walking to the Emirates from Arsenal tube station and they were people handing out Wenger out signs and I just thought to myself ungrateful without Wenger Arsenal might not have reached the heights they have reached.

Wenger has managed 1,129 games at Arsenal he has won 647 giving him a win rate at 57.3% a true Arsenal great in my views and deserves respect and me I personally believe when Wenger has left Arsenal the fans will think to themselves what an amazing manager Arsenal will every have and in my personal view is one of the greatest managers in the world.

My love for Arsenal

As I've said in previous posts I am an Arsenal fan so I thought since I went to the Emirates this weekend for Arsenal 3-0 victory over Chelsea  I meant as well write a blog about my love for Arsenal Football.

My love for Arsenal begins when I was a little child My first Arsenal game was Manchester City 2005/06 season in the premier league at Arsenal old ground Highbury that season was Arsenal final season at Highbury before they moved to the Emirates Stadium.I only got to visit Highbury once to see an Arsenal match but Highbury was a lovely old ground it had so much history.

My favourite Arsenal Player of all time is Thierry Henry I feel lucky to be   alive seeing an amazing player like Henry play for Arsenal his skills were amazing and some of his goals were out of this world, My favourite goal of Henry, in my opinion, was his solo goal aginst Tottenham in Arsenal home game in 2002 and another one is his goal against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in the 2005/06 champions league season when Arsenal went into the game massive underdogs and they won the game 1-0 and went on to win the tie 1-0. My favourite current Arsenal player is Alexis Sanchez his work rate is amazing and his skills are breathtaking and his footwork is brilliant.

I enjoy going to the Emirates stadium I enjoy walking down Hollway Road from Highbury and Islington station I love when I see the stadium from Hormsey road and Walking past the statues to great Arsenal players Bergkamp,Henry and Adams and the statue to the late great herbert chapman, I try to go to Arsenal game once a month this season .

As I've said I went to the Emirates this Saturday (24th September) was for Arsenal 3-0 victory over Chelsea in a London derby the atmosphere was brilliant I arrived at the ground early and was lucky enough to meet an Arsenal legend in Ian Wright who scored 128 for Arsenal in 221 appearances for Arsenal who was doing media work for BT sports and Stan Collymore who I think was doing commentary for radio I think,
it was 3-0 at half time and I was walking in the concourse near my seat where I got to meet Alex Brooker from channel 4 the Last Leg.

So this is about my love for Arsenal I would just like to thank everyone who has read my blog and for all the nice messages and support I have received you can follow me on social media;

Asperger syndrome

As I've said in my previous post I have Asperger's syndrome which is a form of Autism according to Wikipedia (Asperger syndrome (AS), also known as Asperger's, is a developmental disorder characterized by significant difficulties in social interaction and nonverbal communication, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests.)

Having a learning disability in primary school wasn't hard socially but when your move to secondary school and in my case a secondary school where I didn't know anyone was very hard I was subject to horrible insults like Idiot,Retard and spastic and being called stupid all time, These insults were hard to take they made not want to go to school, I know I acted differently to other students and having a learning support assistant in some lessons with me singled me out a bit.
Sadly a saying that I had once in the Simpsons I think kids can be cruel was true in my case.

growing up I have chosen to accept that I have a learning disability but I have lived a normal life I went to a normal state school, I apply for normal jobs never getting far then the interview stage the only advantage was sometimes companies had the two ticks scheme (The two ticks scheme  is a recognition given by Jobcentre Plus to employers based in Great Britain who have agreed to take action to meet five commitments regarding the employment, retention, training and career development of disabled employees. It is represented by the two ticks disability symbol (displayed right) that participating organisations are authorised to display.) so that's the only time has a learning disability has come in useful but I've never had successful interview due to my social skills issues.

Having my learning difficulties means I struggle to understand when someone is having a joke with or understand sarcasm or understand people facial expressions or people tone of voice, To be honest, I struggle to understand people's emotions maybe that's my Asperger's or just me as a person who knows.

I like to live my life by routine I like to walk on preferred route and having to do things a certain way or I get confused and I start overthinking things I like fo follow rules and procedures to the letter and I have Highly-focused interests like my interest in Trains and My love for Arsenal Football Club and I have an interest and a small love for  Formula one. You can learn more about Asperger syndrome from
http://www.autism.org.uk/about/what-is/asperger.aspx .

Thank you for reading this blog and will write more on Arsenal my small love for F1 and many more subjects when they come to my head .

Second post- About Me

My first Blog post was about depression so this second post is about myself as a person, My name Is Jake Humphries I'm 21 years old and I have Asperger's syndrome which is a form of autism which I'll talk about in about in blog post one day.

So I was born in Dagenham in 1995 I lived in Dagenham until September 2006 then we moved to Clacton-On-Sea In Dagenham I went to catholic primary and spent one month I think In a catholic secondary school
which I didn't enjoy When we moved to Clacton I went to a normal state school I was bullied quite a lot in secondary school I had hardly any friends in school, They say your school days are the best days of your life but in my case they were not maybe I will write another blog about my school days one day.

I am an Arsenal Fan I have supported since a very young age my favourite players to ever play for Arsenal is Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp, I had the honour of meeting two of the Arsenal squads the 2005/2006 squad this is a competition thought the junior gunners and the second time was when I won an Arsenal magazine competition and got to meet the 2010/2011 squad . Many Arsenal fans are either Wenger out or Pro Wenger I believe Wenger deserves respect from the Arsenal fans for things he has done for Arsenal football club he has led arsenal to 3 premier league titles 6 FA cups and 6 Community Shields wins and lead Arsenal thought one season unbeaten. I try to go to the Emirates Stadium as much as I can but it's hard to get to Emirates if the trains don't work and going to a football match costs a lot of money.

I have a love for motor racing have been to the British Grand Prix every year since 2013 my favourite driver is Sebastian Vettel I also enjoy world endurance championship which also includes the very famous Le Mans 24 hours race. My love for Formula One began when I watched my first race in 2007 which was the Canadian Grand Prix I collect model Formula One model cars as a hobby.

I have a massive love for politics I joined the Conservative party when I was 17 I try to watch Question time once a week when it's on. I stood for election twice for my student union at college winning both times (one time unopposed and one time facing an election) I enjoyed my time at the student union but it ended when I chose to campaign for Douglas Carswell in the 2014 Clacton-by-election I first meet Douglas Carswell when he was Conservative member of parliament at one of his fish and chips suppers and then had a summer job working for him which was a great experience. when Douglas left the Conservative party and joined UKIP I went with him out of loyalty for Carswell and also had a role in his 2015 general election campaign and I resigned my UKIP membership after the 2015 general election, I will always be grateful for the experience Douglas Carswell gave me. I campaigned for out during this year the United Kingdom European Union membership referendum I didn't campaign on immigration I campaigned for out because I don't believe in the Europen Parliament. I have since rejoined the Conservative Party which I'll explain in detail soon in another blog post.

I have a love for trains and the London Underground I enjoy watching documents about trains when they are on TV I travel by train very regularly because I can't drive, I enjoy travelling by train because I enjoy looking out of the windows when I'm travelling and enjoy when the train passes a depot, On my bucket list is to travel on the Flying Scotsman's train I hope to travel on it one day.

My favourite TV shows is Doctor Who and my favourite actor to play the doctor is David Tennant who played the 10th Doctor, I also enjoy stand up and comedy  and my two favourite comedians are John Bishop who I've meet twice and both times he was lovely to me and always be my favorite comedian and my second favorite comedian is Jack Whitehall who I also meet at a football game Arsenal vs Chelsea I think and I also enjoy watching the last leg with Adam Hills who is also one, my favorite comedians.

My first post-depression

Hello My name Is Jake Humphries and this first post is to talk about me trying to get help and the struggle I faced to get help with my depression and about my time in a mental health ward. This story begins back in May this year I felt depressed a long time before that and I felt and thoughts of committing suicide I once considered jumping in front of train and came very close to doing that only my fear of the pain stopped me from doing this, I went to stay with family in Dagenham which didn’t help [I won’t go into many details why for the respect of my family] . One day after a disagreement with a family member I felt like ending my life once again this time I wrote on all my social media accounts(Snapchat,Facebook,Instagram and Twitter) This lead to worried family member to call the police which lead to me being sectioned on what I believe is called Section 135 mental health act, Being in that Hospital was one of the worst experiences I was locked in a room with not a lot of light people watching you and all I could hear was other members of the public shouting and kicking off and the staff on that ward were not very nice, It felt like I've been arrested and felt that I was a criminal how I was treated by the staff I had my assessment I was let go I sort of lied since I had a ticket to Arsenal Vs Norwich that day so I was released in a place I didn’t know and had only a 1 and a half hours to get to the Emirates Stadium, Luckily I was able to make it to the stadium just in time for the match. A few weeks later after a couple more arguments with family member I was feeling at a very low point I use to walk around the streets of London just to relax and one time I was standing on a bridge in London and thought of jumping into the Thames to end my life at this point I was feeling like the end of my life was near, I then googled ending my life which lead to me clicking a link from the samaritans I then got the tube to where the samaritans that were based in London even when waiting for the tube I just wanted to jump in front of the next train I really don’t know how I didn’t kill myself this time. I arrived at the Samaritans I was really nervous I have picked up the courage to go inside the member of the samaritans was so nice it was nice to speak to someone I left the samaritans feeling better of myself and it was nice to unload my pain and feelings of how I was feeling. My family did all they could but getting help in Dagenham was impossible to get help due to the fact I had no GP in the local area, My family took me to a hospital I was asserted they booked me an appointment with a specialist but they cancelled it at the last minute because I didn’t have a local GP, It was like being offered some hope than having it brutally torn out of my Hands, At this point I felt so low after that point.During the period of the next few weeks I felt so low and at this point I just wanted to end it all so I decided to run away I just wanted to run away from my problems for but I as I found out the hard way , I booked myself into a budget hotel and just hid in the room I was planning to take a medicine and attempt to overdose on any tablets I could get my hands at the last minute I called 111 and got proper help.I was admitted to Hospital First I was asked to sit in a waiting area on Emergency department I was scared and frightened I was then taken to a ward In Clacton called the Peter Bruff Ward the staff on the ward were lovely they were friendly and welcoming I spent nearly a month on the ward at first I was scared it was weird being on the ward at first then it started to feel like home, was discharged on Monday 27th June 2 days before my 21st birthday. This where I end my first blog as time will go on I will write more about my life I will talk about a bit more about my Asperger's my struggle to find a job and my views on life mainly about Politics and football. You can follow me on Instagram @jakehumphries14 and on twitter @jakehumphries1.
